Frequently Asked Questions

Our Boats

We sail exclusively on traditional Turkish gulets, which are masterfully handcrafted wooden yachts specifically designed for ultimate comfort and relaxed coastal cruising.

Unlike modern, cramped sailing boats, these historic vessels are built like floating boutique hotels, offering incredible stability and generous living spaces:

  1. Private Ensuite Cabins: No shared bathrooms here. Every single cabin onboard features its own private bathroom (shower and WC), ensuring complete privacy throughout your journey.
  2. Spacious Sun Decks: Vast outdoor decks equipped with comfortable sunbeds and plush lounging areas, perfect for soaking up the Mediterranean sun or relaxing in the shade.
  3. Al Fresco Dining & Lounge Areas: Beautifully designed aft decks where you can savor chef-prepared gourmet meals and enjoy unforgettable evenings under the stars.

With their robust wooden hulls and expansive layouts, our gulets provide the perfect blend of maritime heritage and modern luxury for an effortless Turkey sailing holiday.

Certainly! Every gulet in our premier fleet features a fully licensed onboard bar. Our professional crew is always ready to serve you an excellent selection of chilled soft drinks, beers, craft cocktails, and a curated choice of fine local and international wines.

To ensure a completely hassle-free and relaxing experience without worrying about carrying cash on deck, we operate a convenient cabin tab system. Any drinks you order throughout your journey will be simply added to your personal account and comfortably settled in cash (Euros, US Dollars, or British Pounds) at the very end of your Turkey sailing holiday.Important Note on Our Onboard Beverage Policy (BYO): Please be advised that bringing your own alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages purchased from outside is not permitted onboard our vessels (No BYO). However, you can rest assured that our onboard bar prices are very fairly and reasonably priced in line with local market standards, designed to let you enjoy the breathtaking views of the Turkish Riviera with a perfectly crafted drink in hand.

Our vessels are fully fitted with standard European two-pin power outlets (Type C & F, 220 Volts). If you are traveling from the UK, US, Australia, or any country with different plug styles, we highly recommend bringing a universal travel adapter to ensure your devices stay powered up throughout your Turkey sailing holiday.

Important Technical Note on Onboard Electricity: Unlike standard hotels, gulets operate on a marine power system. Continuous 220V electricity is primarily available when the boat's generators are running (typically a few hours a day during meal preparations and while cruising) or when connected to shore power at a marina. While safely anchored in the secluded bays of the Turkish Riviera, the yacht switches to 12V battery power.

Our Pro Tip: We suggest taking advantage of the generator hours (e.g., during navigation or lunch/dinner times) to fully charge your smartphones, drones, cameras, and power banks. High-wattage appliances like hair dryers or straighteners can only be used when the generator is active—please consult your crew beforehand. If you require continuous power for medical devices (such as CPAP machines), please notify us well in advance of your trip!

Our cabins are masterfully designed for double occupancy, featuring either a comfortable double bed or two separate twin beds. Since every gulet in our premier fleet is a uniquely handcrafted wooden vessel, each features its own distinct layout and bespoke configuration, adding an exclusive boutique hotel charm to your Turkey sailing holiday.

While we are more than happy to note your specific bedding preference during booking, please note that final cabin allocation is subject to availability based on the yacht's unique floor plan.

Note for Solo Travellers: If you are joining the cruise on your own, you will be allocated a cabin entirely for your exclusive use. We have a strict policy of never pairing unacquainted solo guests in the same room. Therefore, a single supplement fee applies to solo bookings. Additionally, you can rest assured that all our cabins come standard with a private ensuite bathroom (private shower and WC) for your total comfort and privacy.

The outstanding balance (the remaining 70% of your tour fare) is settled in cash upon your arrival at the vessel, directly at embarkation. Please note that along with your remaining balance, a mandatory port tax of €45 per person is also payable in cash at check-in to clear port authorities and officially begin your Turkey sailing holiday.

To ensure a seamless and efficient boarding process, we highly recommend having these exact amounts prepared in Euros (€) prior to your arrival.

Important Note on Cash Payments: Due to technical and connectivity limitations while sailing in open waters, our gulets are not equipped with credit card (POS) terminals. Therefore, both the remaining balance and the port tax must be strictly settled in cash at embarkation. We kindly ask you to factor this into your travel planning and currency preparations before your departure.

Yes, absolutely. If you prefer to arrange your travel budget in advance and enjoy a completely hassle-free arrival, you are more than welcome to settle the full amount when confirming your reservation. To offer you maximum flexibility for your Turkey sailing holiday, we accept full upfront payments via either our secure online credit card system or standard bank transfer.

Important Reminder on Port Taxes: Please note that even if you choose to pay your tour balance in full ahead of time, the mandatory €45 per person port tax is not included in the upfront online payment. Due to local maritime and customs regulations, this specific fee must still be settled in cash directly at embarkation.

having cash on hand is essential for settling your onboard expenses and activities during your trip. Your onboard bar tab (beverages and any additional extras consumed) will be calculated and must be strictly settled in cash at the end of your journey.

For optional excursions, the policy is straightforward: If you have pre-booked and paid for these shore excursions online through our system before your departure, you can conveniently pay by credit card. However, if you decide to spontaneously book an excursion while already on board during the tour, the payment must be made in cash.

Crew Gratuities (Tipping): At the end of your Turkey sailing holiday, if you wish to express your satisfaction and appreciation for the exceptional service provided by our crew all week, you are welcome to hand the traditional crew tip directly to the staff in cash; accepted in either Euros (€) or Turkish Lira (TL).

No, absolutely not. We strictly adhere to a transparent pricing policy with zero hidden fees. All inclusions (such as your cabin accommodation, three freshly prepared meals daily, and full crew service) and exclusions (such as onboard bar tabs or optional shore excursions) are clearly and explicitly outlined before you confirm your booking. Optional activities remain entirely at your discretion.

Our Transparency Guarantee: The price you see when confirming your Turkey sailing holiday is the final tour fare. Aside from the clearly stated mandatory €45 port tax payable at embarkation, no unexpected financial surprises, hidden service charges, or forced fees will await you on board.

Life on Board

Yes, all our gulets feature complimentary Wi-Fi onboard, allowing you to stay connected with loved ones, handle any remote work seamlessly, or instantly share your favorite moments from your Turkey sailing holiday while cruising along the stunning Turkish Riviera.

A Gentle Note for Your Comfort: Since our custom itineraries take you through pristine, untouched bays, high canyons, and secluded pine-fringed inlets, internet speed and signal strength may vary depending on local mobile network coverage at specific anchorages. Whether you require a vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free menu, or have specific food allergies, simply inform us prior to departure. Our talented chef will be delighted to customize the daily menus to match your dietary needs seamlessly.

The atmosphere on our sailing tours is perfectly balanced: effortlessly social and laid-back, but never rowdy, overcrowded, or loud. Our journeys naturally attract like-minded global travellers, mostly aged between 20 and 50, who appreciate stunning nature, great food, and good company. You will find plenty of opportunities to make lifelong friends and share stories over a drink on deck. At the same time, our gulets are spacious enough to offer quiet, secluded corners whenever you want to unwind with a book.

A Refined Experience, Not a Rowdy Party Cruise: We are strictly not a cheap, non-stop party boat. Our focus is on creating a chilled, respectful, and high-quality environment where solo travellers, couples, and friend groups can experience the ultimate mix of fun and serene relaxation.

Life onboard follows a beautifully slow, sun-soaked rhythm designed to help you completely unwind and disconnect from the hustle of daily life. There is absolutely no room for boredom, as each day offers a seamless balance of relaxation and adventure. Travel Tips

The ultimate golden rule for a sailing holiday is to pack light! Life on board is beautifully casual, laid-back, and unpretentious. For the daytime, all you will really need is swimwear, sunglasses, a sun hat, eco-friendly sunscreen, and easy summer clothing like t-shirts, shorts, and light sundresses. When stepping ashore in the evenings to explore vibrant coastal towns, local bars, or restaurants, one or two smart-casual outfits are plenty. Pro Sailor Tip: We highly recommend bringing soft, collapsible duffel bags instead of large, hard-shell suitcases, as they are much easier to store away in your cabin's compartments. Also, remember that a "barefoot rule" applies on deck to maintain pristine hygiene and safety, so you'll only need comfortable walking shoes or sandals for your onshore excursions.

The official local currency is the Turkish Lira (TRY). However, because you will be sailing along the highly popular Turkish Riviera, Euros (EUR) and US Dollars (USD) are widely and warmly accepted in almost all coastal towns, restaurants, and shops. Furthermore, cashless payments via major credit and debit cards (Visa and Mastercard) with contactless technology are universally standard across most marinas and local establishments.

While cards are widely used, we always recommend keeping a small amount of cash (either Euros or Turkish Lira) on hand. This is perfect for tipping our hard-working crew or buying handmade ice cream and pancakes from the local boat vendors who visit us in secluded bays.

Most guests arrive via Dalaman Airport, Bodrum airport or Antalya Airport. Transfers are available by private car, taxi, or shuttle bus to the cruise ports.

Yes, we highly recommend travel insurance before you start your Turkey sailing holiday.
