SAIL TURKEY / FETHIYE TO OLYMPOS 3 NIGHTS - 4 DAYS GULET CRUISE

We meet at Fethiye Marina in the morning to complete boarding formalities, then step aboard the gulet to meet the crew and fellow travellers. After a short safety briefing, we head straight out along the coast.

Our first major stop is Butterfly Valley, framed by steep limestone cliffs that rise dramatically from the sea. You can swim ashore or take the 45-minute trail inland to reach the small waterfall tucked inside the gorge.

From there, we cruise to Ölüdeniz Blue Lagoon, one of the most recognisable bays in the region. Spend time swimming in its clear water while paragliders glide down from Mount Babadağ above. If you’re feeling bold, optional tandem paragliding can be arranged.

Later in the afternoon, we continue to St Nicholas Island (Gemiler Island). Try water sports, explore the Lycian ruins scattered across the hillside, and hike up in time for sunset views across the bay.

We depart early from St Nicholas Island, cruising east along the Lycian coastline towards Aquarium Bay near Kalkan. Breakfast is served at anchor, followed by a swim in its clear, calm water. Best way to start the day on this Fethiye to Olympos sailing route.

By late morning, we enter Kaş Harbour, one of the most popular stops on any Turkey sailing journey along this coast. The afternoon is yours to shape: explore the amphitheatre overlooking the sea, wander through hillside streets lined with independent shops, or relax at a waterfront café.

For those wanting something more active, optional scuba diving in Kaş can be arranged. With excellent visibility and diverse underwater terrain, it’s one of the standout adventure add-ons of this Turkey sailing experience.

In the late afternoon, we sail to Limanağzı Bay, a sheltered cove just outside Kaş. Swim, snorkel or unwind on deck before dinner is served. Overnight at anchor beneath clear coastal skies.

After breakfast, we cruise into the protected waters of Kekova, home to the well-known Sunken City. From the deck, you can clearly see sections of ancient walls and foundations beneath the surface, remnants of a Lycian settlement partially submerged by an earthquake centuries ago. Swimming directly over the ruins is not permitted due to heritage protection, but we anchor nearby for a time in equally clear water.

Across the channel lies Kaleköy (ancient Simena), accessible only by boat. You can walk up to the hilltop castle for wide views over the Kekova region, passing stone houses and scattered Lycian sarcophagi along the way. A stop for homemade ice cream at the waterfront café is almost a ritual here.

In the afternoon, we continue to Gökkaya Bay, one of the most sheltered anchorages on this Fethiye to Olympos sailing route. The area is known for calm swimming conditions and occasional sightings of loggerhead turtles.

After dinner onboard, the evening is flexible. Relax on deck under the stars or take a short boat ride to Smugglers Inn for music and late-night energy before returning to the yacht.

The final morning begins slowly in Gökkaya Bay, with breakfast on deck and time for one last swim in clear, calm water before departure.

By late morning, we dock at Çayagzi near Demre, marking the end of this Fethiye to Olympos sailing experience. From here, a complimentary transfer is available to your selected treehouse accommodation in Olympos (approximately 90 minutes by road).

Alternatively, we can drop you at Demre bus station for onward travel. Regular services operate to Antalya, with additional connections to Kaş and Fethiye throughout the day.
