Overview

A Premium Mini Turkey sailing Escape on the Turkish Coast
Not every traveller wants a full seven nights at sea. The Fethiye to Marmaris 4 night gulet cruise is designed for those who want the essence of a Turkey sailing holiday — without the full-week commitment.
This short sailing holiday in Turkey follows one of the most naturally protected and scenic coastal corridors in the Mediterranean. Departing from Fethiye, the route weaves through the Göcek islands before cruising south toward Ekincik Bay and the Dalyan delta region, eventually finishing in the vibrant harbour town of Marmaris.
The pace is intentional. Days revolve around open-water swimming, shaded deck lunches and relaxed cruising between anchorages. Unlike rushed weekend boat trips, this 4 night sailing Turkey experience feels complete — balanced between activity and downtime.
The onboard atmosphere reflects that balance. With a boutique guest capacity, private en-suite cabins and full overnight air-conditioning, this is not a stripped-back backpacker crossing. It’s a refined cabin charter Turkey experience with a social edge — ideal for young professionals, couples and solo travellers from Australia, the UK, New Zealand and the US.
This route also works perfectly as a broader travel combination. Many guests pair it with Istanbul, Cappadocia or remote work stays in Fethiye. It’s flexible, accessible and easy to fit into longer European itineraries.
If you’re searching for a short gulet cruise in Turkey that still delivers swim stops, coastal culture and a lively harbour finish, the Fethiye to Marmaris sailing tour strikes the balance perfectly.

Itinerary
Boarding begins from 15:00 in Fethiye, where you’ll meet your crew and fellow travellers before settling into your cabin. Once formalities are complete, the gulet eases out of the marina and into open water, leaving the shoreline behind as your short Turkey sailing holiday officially begins.
The first cruise is a smooth introduction to life at sea. By late afternoon, we anchor in the clear turquoise waters of Tarzan Bay. Rope swings, calm water and that first Mediterranean dive set the tone for the days ahead. There’s something different about the first swim. It marks the shift from land pace to sea rhythm.
Dinner is served on deck as the sun drops behind pine-covered hills. As darkness settles, the foredeck becomes the best seat in the house fun conversation, open sky and the gentle sound of water against the hull. A perfect way to start your Fethiye to Marmaris sailing tour.
Wake to calm water in Tarzan Bay before the gulet turns toward the Göcek archipelago, which is a chain of protected islands that define this stretch of any Turkey boat holiday. The morning sail is scenic and relaxed, with pine-lined shores sliding past as we island-hop in true gulet style.
Our first stop is near Cleopatra’s Bath, where ancient stone ruins lie partially submerged beneath the surface. Legend ties the site to Marc Antony, but today it’s simply a stunning place for a swim in warm, clear water. From there, we cruise toward Bedri Rahmi Bay, famous for its rock-carved fish motif tucked into the hillside.
Later, snorkelling around Tersane (Shipyard) Island reveals another side of the coastline, with shallow reefs and quiet anchorages. By early evening, we moor near Göcek town — a polished marina setting ideal for a waterfront stroll and relaxed meze tasting.
This is peak short sailing holiday energy: swim, explore, repeat.
After a relaxed morning sail, the coastline opens up as we head toward Ekincik Bay; one of the quieter anchorages along this Fethiye to Marmaris boat trip. The water here feels untouched, calm and wide, ideal for paddleboards, swimming or simply stretching out on deck with nothing but open blue around you.
For those wanting a change of scenery, an optional excursion to the Dalyan Delta offers something completely different. A small riverboat winds through reed-lined channels toward Turtle Beach, home to the protected loggerhead turtles. Along the way, dramatic Lycian rock tombs carved into the cliffs overlook the river. Rock tombs are one of the most recognisable images of sail Turkey experince. That is also included to try the region’s famous mineral-rich mud baths before returning to the coast.
Back on board, the afternoon slows again. As the sun softens and the bay turns golden, dinner is served on deck. Fresh seafood, warm air and that effortless Mediterranean calm. It is the true feeling of a gulet cruise in Turkey.
The morning begins with a swim stop in the clear waters of Kumlubük, which is known for its calm surface and deep blue tones. Early risers can hike up to the ruins of ancient Amos, where panoramic views stretch across the coastline and the Mediterranean horizon.
Back on board, the gulet continues along pine-lined shores toward Paradise Island. In the afternoon, we will have our final relaxed swim, tea on deck and time to soak in the rhythm that makes your Turkey sailing holiday feel surprisingly complete.
By early evening, the scenery shifts as we round into Marmaris harbour. The marina buzzes with energy, with historic Ottoman architecture, narrow streets, waterfront dining and a nightlife scene that keeps Marmaris firmly on the map of any memorable sail Turkey tours.
Tonight, you choose the pace. Harbour dinner, sunset cocktails or exploring the lively bar strip; the perfect penultimate evening of your Fethiye to Marmaris sailing tour.
The final morning arrives gently in Marmaris Marina. Breakfast is served on deck as the harbour slowly comes to life. After breakfast, check-out time at 09:30. Goodbye to crew and new friends. What began as a Turkey sailing escape now feels far bigger. After check out, you can continue exploring Marmaris, connect onward to other parts of Turkey, or simply carry that sea rhythm with you a little longer.

It's my second year doing a sailing cruise with Gulet Cruises and I absolutely love it!
The crew is always very good, the food is to die for, the cabins are very clean and large enough if you have to share with someone. There are different spaces where you can relax or sunbathe on the boat, the stops in the different bays are always beautiful and you can go on the land for short excursions in cute villages or climb a hill for a sunset!
Already looking forward to my 3rd trip next year!
